Privacy Settings unstable and unreliable.
Problem: The privacy settings on private rooms don't stick. We have private rooms for specific groups of people and not all people should have access to all rooms. Although I have checked the privacy settings for each room, they keep reverting to either allowing all of the members listed to enter the room, instead of just the ones selected by us. We need to fix this. How can that be fixed? Thank you.

We looked at the permissions of your rooms in our database but couldn't find anything amiss. Could you email us at support@hipchat.com with some more details about the specifics of what is happening (room names and people who are/aren't supposed to be able to join them)?

Inappropriate?Sorry I did not reply earlier. It seems it might have been a transient thing. You know, one thing that would be really good is if in the Room Permissions dialog box, when you click on Choose who has access... the check box "Invite New members" was NOT check by default.
When you just want to check who are the users that are currently allowed to enter a specific room, sometimes one may forget to un-check the box. Then other people are invited to the room who should not have been invited.
I think that's probably what happened to me.

Inappropriate?The checkbox to invite new members shouldn't affect the room permissions at all. It's meant to send an in-app invite to anyone new you just added to the permissions list.
That is, 'new members' doesn't mean people who recently joined your company group, but rather people that you added to the permission list for this particular room. If you open up the window and close it without changing any selections, there should be no effect.
