Air Client: Private message tabs sometimes don't show new messages
Private chat windows sometimes flash red in the Air client, but don't actually display the new message. This seems to only happen when you've had a private chat window open with the same person and have closed that window. This definitely applies when only one person involved in the conversation has closed their window, but there might be other places this happens as well. The workaround I've been using is to click on the "View chat history" link to view the messages in my browser (which works correctly).

We just released an update to the desktop client that we hope fixes this problem (we couldn't reproduce the issue ourselves, but found a bug that seemed like the likely culprit). Please try downloading the update (you can hit ctrl-u or choose Check for Updates from the system tray menu / mac high level menu) and see if you notice the problem happening anymore.

Thanks for reporting this issue. We've had a couple people mention it before but it never seems to be reproducible. We're taking a look at it, but it appears that it may be related to internet latency or computer resources. Hopefully we can figure out what is really going on and fix it.

Inappropriate?This is 100% reproducible for me. If the person's tab is closed, their first message will open a new tab and flash, but the message won't show up in the window. If they send a second message, it will show up. Sometimes it also does not show up in the chat history, but I'm not sure how often that happens.
